intern program

Active Steps works with a number of educational institutions to provide opportunities for students to continue their education in a real world setting and also earn an additional credential.

Our intern program will provide training and coursework that also qualifies an intern as a nationally credentialed Applied Behavior Analysis Technician-Level 1, and meet all other credentialing requirements as a part of working as an intern with us.

Furthermore, we provide employment opportunities for qualifying interns once they complete their degree program. The vision for the intern program is to develop a skilled, professional workforce that will strengthen the sector and improve outcomes for people in need of behavioral health services and in particular, young people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Who Qualifies to apply as an Intern?

To qualify for the Active Steps intern program, you will need to be currently enrolled in a course of study relevant to the work we do such as Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis and so on. Also, your educational institution will need to recognize our program as meeting the needs for your course of study.

Beyond this, you will also need to meet all of the current criteria that any Active Steps employee would be required to meet.

How can I Apply?

Applying for the Active Steps Intern Program is much the same as applying for employment. We do this so that it also provides prospective interns with job application experience which we believe is beneficial.

To apply for the intern program, simply click the button below and complete the online application process.
